a new vision to erotic filmmaking in the late 80's, proving
enormously influential for a new generation of artists and viewers
alike with his groundbreaking film 'Night Trips'. In 2001 it
was selected by AVN as the greatest adult title of all time.
Blake became the poster boy for the new wave of Porno Chic with
such notable titles as 'Hidden Obsessions', and 'LesFemmes Erotique'.
His high style fetish opus,'Valentina', was nominated for 12
AVN awards in 2006 including Best Picture and Best Director.

adults' supreme high stylist creating works that are seen by
most as erotic art. Always the visionary, Blake's new film 'X'

1999 he created the Buttman series which is credited with starting
the gonzo revolution in pornography. Since 1990 as the owner
of Evil Angel he has been selling the movies of other directors
in a format where they can own their own movies. This has further
encouraged the development of unique porn.

his live dance show Fashionistas (based on the story in the
film) debuted in Las Vegas, garnering critical raves. In 2006,

Roy
Karch (Curator)
A lifelong New Yorker (even though he currently lives in Los
Angeles), Roy Karch is widely regarded as the first moviemaker
to put adult on video. He pioneered cable-access mayhem back
in the late 1970s with his show, "The Underground Tonight
Show," which combined variety show acts with sex.
After moving to Los Angeles, Karch held down a succession of
jobs: production assistant for John Cassavetes, bell captain
for the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (for four hours) and brothel
staffer. It wasn't until he started selling (and later making)
adult movies. Over the last few years, he's been the mastermind
behind projects for Adam & Eve, SexZ Pictures and Hustler. |

Marilyn
Chambers
a native of Providence, Rhode Island, who grew up in Westport,
Connecticut, began her professional career as a model, doing
work for high-profile advertisers such as Pepsi and Clairol.
But it was her short stint as cover girl on an Ivory Snow box
that drew the most lasting attention. Though she posed for Ivory
Snow at the age of 18, it wasn't until three years later that
the box found its way onto supermarket shelves. And coincidentally,
that same week came the release of the most celebrated X-rated
movie of its time - Marilyn's adult film debut in "Behind
the Green Door". The horrified Ivory Snow people, fearing
a national backlash, pulled the box from the shelves almost
immediately, touching off a firestorm of controversy that is
still much talked-about to this day.
She has made several follow-up pictures which were instant hits,
including landmark films such as "The Resurrection of Eve",
"Insatiable", "Insatiable II", "Up
'n Coming" and "Marilyn Chambers' Private Fantasies",
each of which set box-office records, Marilyn has also been
a mainstay in the adult magazine industry. For 17 years, she
penned the sex advice column "Marilyn Chambers' State of
the Nation" for Club Magazine, and appeared on its cover
twice per year. For five years she was also retained by Genesis
Magazine for the column "Private Chambers". She has
been on the covers of the Australian and Japanese versions of
Playboy and did a ten-page special celebrity layout in Playboy
in the States. She was ranked by Adult Video news as one of
the top ten adult film stars of all-time and by Playboy as one
of the top 100 Sex Stars of the 20th Century.

Henri
Pachard "I've
been in the game for forty years," Henri Pachard has quipped,
"and never lived two days the same."
Pachard's list
of films and videos total somewhere around a thousand, and
have covered every known adult industry genre. He has written,
produced and directed films and videos ranging from the dark
and twisted "mind fucking," to body wrenching, serious-to-hilarious
looks into some of our most profound physical and emotional
needs. His directing awards began back in the seventies, and
for over twenty-five years he remained among the world's most
prolific and highest profiled pornographers.
As a writer, Pachard's hundreds of journals and articles about
himself, the industry's history, along with its current directions,
have been published on several web sites, including his highly
acclaimed A Pornographer's Journal" published by Adult
Video News "Insider" web site.
At the age of sixty-eight, after several surgeries and nearly
a two year bout with cancer which "he fuckin' won!"
- Pachard has returned to writing and directing. He recently
completed Hustler Video's "Barely Legal Troublemakers,"
and is in production with another series, "Whore Stories,"
which films in early September.
Pachard has always enjoyed talking about "the game and its
players," over the decades; and this panel may likely be his
final appearance.
Always expect the unexpected from him.

Ron
Jeremy
is possibly the most well-known pornographic performer in the
history of the biz, rotund ladies' man has appeared in over
1,500 adult features since his debut in 1978. His playful onscreen
demeanor, as well as his instantly recognizable moustache have
earned him popularity not only with consumers of pornography
but mainstream audiences, too, making his name shorthand for
comedians and pundits who need to reference the adult film industry.
Born into an upper-middle class Jewish family in New York, Jeremy
studied theatre and education in college and taught special-ed
classes while waiting for his big break. To this end, he performed
in off-Broadway plays and did stand-up comedy. In 1978, a girlfriend
sent a photo of him to Playgirl magazine and he was chosen to
appear as a centerfold.
Jeremy's above-average
endowment was exposed to the world and he was offered a part
in the hardcore film Tigresses and Other Maneaters. From there
a number of titles followed, even as his thin frame bulked
up over the years, and he emerged as a good-natured everyman
in a field crowded with arrogant, handsome male performers.
The puckish pornster was a hit with women who responded to
his cuddly charm, men who identified with his average looks,
and devotees of the bizarre who appreciated his ability to
fellate himself (a talent he displays in films like Inside
Seka and Fresh Meat). During the 1980s, Jeremy began directing
adult films; perhaps his most notorious was the 1994 feature
John Wayne Bobbitt: Uncut, a starring vehicle for the man
whose real-life wife sliced off his penis in a fit of revenge
for spousal abuse (it was surgically reattached, though special
prostoglandin injections were required on the set for Bobbitt
to perform in a professional manner).
Jeremy has appeared
in more mainstream films than the garden variety porn actor,
although his small roles have often been cut by distributors
who fear that his notoriety might damage a picture. What remains
are generally jokey, self-referential cameos (such as his
appearances in Orgazmo and Meet Wally Sparks), as well as
his work as a consultant for 9 1/2 Weeks and the porn-themed
Boogie Nights.

Eon
McKai (Curator)
is an American director of alternative erotica-themed adult
films. The name "Eon McKai" is a pseudonym and a tribute
to punk singer Ian MacKaye. McKai was involved in the Internet-based
alt-adult scene soon after its emergence and photographed some
of the early sets on Suicide Girls. After graduating from film
school at California Institute of the Arts, he decided go into
directing adult movies and introduced himself to film director
Veronica Hart. Hart put him in touch with the adult video company
VCA, who signed him as a director in 2004. In 2006, after producing
several features for VCA, McKai was signed by Vivid to head
a new imprint of theirs called VividAlt.
McKai's films are alt erotica-themed films, casting younger
actors with an "alternative" punk, Goth or otherwise
subculture look, many of whom are not established adult stars.
Going against the predominant trends in adult video, McKai prefers
to shoot features with a plot line and high production values
rather than gonzo adult. His influences include Andy Warhol,
early "artistic" adult directors like Alex de Renzy,
The Dark Brothers and Stephen Sayadian. |

performers and fans communicate though the web... treating her
fans as peers and friends rather than customers or potential
pay-site members.
Dana DeArmond is also a director with a unique documentary style,
which helps young people like herself who she meets on the web;
break into the business as in Vivid ALT's Dana DeArmond Does
